Here are our top 6 picks.

Explore the Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker Park is a 351-acre urban park. The park features botanical gardens, nature trails, sports fields and courts, picnic areas, and a playground. The Zilker Eagle, a miniature train, opens in 2022. The new train is replacing the beloved Zilker Zephyr, and will offer rides around the park! The park is also home to Barton Springs Pool, a three-acre pool fed from underground springs.  Pack up a few sandwiches, some fruit, and maybe a Frisbee or two, and head to Zilker for an afternoon of relaxation and family time.
