A Tokyo Japan Restaurant for each baby-friendly dish
Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet) is silky and fluffy and beloved by children.
Restaurant Recommendation: Tsukiji Yamachou
Address: 4-16-2, Tsukiji, Chuo 104-0045, Tokyo Prefecture (Tokyo Station / Ginza / Nihonbashi)
This Tokyo Japan restaurant is a pro at making Tamagoyaki. Tamagoyaki is usually a side dish, but this shop serves it… on a stick! It is a convenient and authentic Tokyo fast food snack for your kids. They serve the original Tamagoyaki, which is sweet and fluffy. If you don’t like the sweet version, don’t worry! They also offer savory flavors including cold crab, shrimp, eel, etc.
Bonus: They have an open kitchen so you and your little ones won’t get bored while waiting in line. Go and grab one when you are strolling around the market!

Udon is soft and chewy and can be easily digested by kids.
Restaurant Recommendation: Yamashita Honki Udon
Address: 3-15-8 Shibuya Namikibashi Bldg. 1F, Shibuya 150-0002 Tokyo Prefecture
Firstly, this udon restaurant is especially famous for its fresh homemade udon topped with savory whipped cream. Udon mixed with salty pollock roe and parmesan cheese is a Japanese classic. Whipped cream adds a surprise twist. The mochi-like texture and creamy flavor will fascinate your kids. They also serve other flavors your kids might like: curry, bacon, cod roe, and soy sauce.
Restaurant Recommendation: Marugame Seimen (Chain restaurant with various locations)
Secondly, this Tokyo Japan restaurant chain could be considered Tokyo fast food. It has a good menu, highchairs and children’s tableware. Best of all? It’s cheap! Order one normal udon noodle bowl and one saruudon (which is cold), mix them. And voila… Your child has a dish at the perfect temperature for eating!
Kids love sweet and fluffy pancakes, especially with their favorite toppings, at this Tokyo Japan restaurant.
Restaurant Recommendation: METoA Cafe and Kitchen
Address: METoA Ginza 1F, TOKYU PLAZA GINZA, 5-2-1 Ginza Chuo-ku Tokyo, JAPAN
This Tokyo Japan restaurant is a nice place for brunch. They offer French toast, eggs benedict, as well as pasta, burgers, and more. But we highly recommend their homemade pancake, which is soft and fluffy. It’s like eating clouds in the sky! They have three flavors: Mixed Berries, Citrus✕Citrus, and Death by Chocolate. Mixed Berries is the safe choice. Citrus✕Citrus is for more adventurous palates. The chocolate one, topped with caramel popcorn, Nutella, marshmallows, and nuts, is a crowd pleaser!

Onigiri (rice ball) is a traditional food that Japanese moms prepare for their babies for breakfast
Restaurant Recommendation: Misojyu
Address: 1-7-5 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo 111-0032, Japan
Misojyu is well-known among the locals as a traditional Japanese breakfast restaurant. For an authentic Japanese breakfast, this is the Tokyo Japan restaurant you should not miss. I recommend you order a breakfast set, which includes miso soup, onigiri, half-boiled egg, pickles, and two side dishes (usually one of them is tofu). They have several kinds of onigiri for you to pick, including plum, shiso, salmon, spicy tuna, brown rice, and avocado roll. I personally recommend the traditional plum flavor which is baby-friendly and spicy tuna. The baby-friendly tofu is super soft and creamy. After eating the onigiri rice ball and having a hot miso soup, you will be full of energy for the day!
Omurice (Japanese omelette rice) is a rice dish wrapped with eggs. It is a favorite Japanese comfort food.
Restaurant Recommendation: フェリーチェ
Address: Japan, 〒152-0035 Tokyo, Meguro City, Jiyugaoka, 1 Chome−12−6 自由が丘センタービル B1F
Omurice was introduced in the Waffles+Mochi egg episode! Waffles and Mochi go to Kyoto to find Chef Motokichi and try his delicious Omurice.
If you don’t have a chance to Kyoto, we recommend フェリーチェ in Tokyo. Actually, it is a hidden gem of the Tokyo Japan restaurant scene. It takes some time to find the first time you go, but it is worth it! The locals rave about フェリーチェ’s Omurice. The restaurant is tiny and only opens during lunchtime. If your kids love the rich flavor of eggs and the creamy texture of an omelet, then they will love it. They usually serve 8 different flavors, among which ketchup might be kids’ favorite. I personally recommend the one with stewed beef, which is savory and soft.
