As the world slowly starts to reopen, we have asked our team and Bébé Voyage Ambassadors to share stories of their favorite places that they are dreaming of returning to once it is safe to do so.
I fantasize about returning to Paris. There’s so much to do and explore in the city! Whether wandering through the
halls of the Louvre or just finding a street vendor selling crepes, everything always felt so exciting and dreamy. I was supposed to travel to Paris with my family this past May, but for obvious reasons, we were unable to do so. I can’t wait to return in the future when it’s safe to travel!

September into October of last year, my husband and I took our 2.5-year-old and 9-month-old to Iceland. I think about returning every day. We have been lucky to have traveled to many destinations on our own and with our family, but this was an absolute highlight. It’s a great family destination. Easy to get around with a car and so many amazing places to stop and see. The scenery is ever-changing, dramatic, and surprising. Highlights were seeing the northern lights, lava fields, geysers, glaciers, countless amazing waterfalls, and icebergs, as well as feeding carrots to Icelandic horses.

We are dreaming of returning to one of our favorite cities, Rome! Almost 4 years ago when I was pregnant, we waited to open the envelope about our baby’s gender until we were in Rome. We found out we were having a boy and threw coins in the Trevi Fountain for him to be able to return to Rome. We can’t wait to share this amazing city with him, hopefully, one day soon! I’ve been making spaghetti carbonara and even got out the pasta maker to get a little taste

Algarve, Portugal
Relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous coastlines, friendly people, delicious seafood, not overly expensive.

I had the pleasure of visiting Greece with my dad in 2011. I fell absolutely in love with Santorini! The food was incredible, the views were stunning, and the sunsets were spectacular. The hillside architecture is a sight not to be missed. I’d love to go back when it’s a bit warmer and enjoy the beaches!

The place I dream to visit again is New Orleans. I fell in love with NOLA at first sight. It was our first transatlantic holiday as a family of three, and we experienced the pandemonium of Mardi Gras. The city has its own unique beat, with its wild jazz, colorful beads, delicious creole food and the thick and sticky heat that hits you every time you step outside. It’s an American city with a Caribbean heart and we cannot wait to go back there and stuff our faces with its mouth-watering beignets.

The place we dream of returning to is the River Lodge in Namibia, a super beautifully designed, very modern, tasteful lodge overlooking the Kavango River. When we went there the owners kindly explained to us how they set up the lodge with a lot of community involvement as well as how they trained a lot of local people on how to build and find renewable resources. They also employ local people as their staff, and their cuisine, which is based on local ingredients and a fusion of international recipes, is excellent. Our son Simon was 15 months old and the owners had a daughter who was only a year older, which helped them to understand our needs.
