Florida Beach Resorts That Should Be On Every Family’s Bucket List

Florida is always a popular vacation spot, but this year in particular, tourists are flocking to the sunshine state. However, Florida is downright enormous, with gorgeous white sand beaches from the panhandle all the way down to the tropical Keys. (Did you know it would take you over 13 hours if you wanted to drive from Pensacola to Key West? For all of our European friends, that would be like driving from Paris to Rome!) As such, it’s best if you pick one city within the state and check out the general area surrounding it. Of course, you will want a bunch of down time as well, so be sure to book a fun and relaxing resort for the whole family while you are there! Here are a few great Florida beach resorts that will have everyone in your family, from the baby to grandma, excited to travel south!

Disney Vero Beach

It’s a throwback to a much simpler time and what much of Florida used to be. Grab some amazing, fresh seafood dinners, let the kids build sand castles and enjoy the full amenities of a Disney hotel!

Cabanas are sprinkled throughout the area that you can rent, making a full day with the kids a very do-able experience. The family pool will also have everyone feeling young again with waterslides and an interactive splash area. Not to mention you can book everything from a regular sized guest room to a ten bedroom suite! (Family reunion, anyone!?)

What kid doesn’t want to go down a three story water slide right on the beach? And what parent doesn’t want to relax at the beach with a drink as they watch their little ones have the time of their lives!? Located directly on St. Pete beach, this hotel is fun for the entire family. With a ton of activities such as paddle boarding, games for the kids, parasailing, paddle boats, and even a family pirate show, (This is the Tampa Bay area after all! Arrrrgggh!), you will never be bored at this amazing spot. If a beach day is more your style, but you have little kids to care for, then take comfort in knowing that the west coast of Florida is much more calm than the east coast and rarely sees waves. If you are a shell collector, this is definitely the beach for you!
