Any guesses as to where we are headed??
Our Hidden Gems series will uncover one-of-a-kind places discovered by our readers while traveling or exploring their own city. Whether it’s a beach, park, cafe, family-friendly hotel, hiking trail or other, enjoy these best kept secrets and be sure to add them to your list of places to go!
Location:
Seabrook, WA — on the Olympic Peninsula (1.5 hours from Olympia)
Discovered By:
Ashley is a club BBV member and mom who recently moved from Paris to Washington state. “A friend of mine recently did a girls weekend there and loved it. She mentioned it to me and when I researched it online, it seemed like it could be a fun day trip for us.”
Why We Love It:
Seabrook is Washington’s beach town. It’s a somewhat new, master-planned beach community that has beautiful homes to rent, gorgeous beaches to enjoy, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

Why It’s Kid-Friendly:
Everything in the town is an easy walk from each other. There’s a darling toy store worth checking out, a gnome trail where little ones can build houses out of sticks and shells, and of course, the beach itself.
Tips & Important Details:
The town itself is very stroller/biking/walking friendly. Once it’s time to head to the beach though, I’d recommend putting the stroller away. You can park in any parking spot in town, although I’d recommend parking near the town center close to the shops and restaurants. Definitely bring layers and potentially even rain boots depending on the weather (we found the gnome trail to be a bit muddy at times).
Cost:
The town itself is free to walk around and enjoy the lovely walking trails and beach. Any extra activities (or a cottage rental) will of course cost extra.
Kids are always hungry! Know anywhere to eat nearby?:
There are several restaurants in Seabrook that look delicious. We picked up sandwiches at the Front Street Market and an ice cream cookie sandwich at The Sweet Life.
About Ashley:
She is a mom to two kids, ages 3 and 5 years old. They currently live in the Pacific Northwest in Olympic, WA and love to explore both close to home and far away. Her dream travel destination as a family is The Isle of Skye, Scotland. You can follow their adventures on Instagram @daleyfamilytravels.
