Bébé Voyage Mom Stacey Noblet reviews the mifold Grab and Go Booster Seat with the help of a trusty assistant- her daughter.
Bébé Voyage Rating: 7/10
Designed for ages 4+, the mifold Grab-and-Go portable booster seat is certainly very compact and easy to set up. It folds up in half and should fit in most glove boxes. Although very minimalist in design, it keeps the lap belt and shoulder strap in place and snug to your child.
What bébé loved (or not):
Our independent 6-year-old didn’t like that she needed the help of an adult to get in and out of the seat. She also didn’t think it was very comfortable, but it does the trick for short rides.
What mommy loved (or not):
Extremely portable! The mifold is a great option for family trips requiring flights because it cuts down on luggage and is easily set up in a rental car/cab/car share. It’s also a good option if you have an unplanned carpool or another child in the car but no full-sized booster seat available.
Is the booster seat easy to use/convenient?
The size is convenient, but mifold requires some effort to thread the lap and shoulder belt. A child cannot get in and out on her own.
Does the product resolve a current pain point and if so how well?
It’s good to pack away for air travel, but not comfortable for long car trips.
How safe is the product?
This booster seat seems to meet international safety requirements and does a good job of maintaining lap and shoulder belt placement. However, like most booster seats, the mifold does not provide any impact protection.
Do you like the way the mifold Booster Seat is designed?
Yes, it folds in half and features retractable stabilizers. It’s well designed and its construction is sturdy. Added bonus–it should be easy to clean, if necessary.
Value for money:
This product is currently listed at $35 on Amazon. While perhaps a little pricey for such a minimalist design, it’s probably a worthwhile purchase for traveling families given the ease of packing it in a carry on bag or backpack. Please check online for more up-to-date pricing.
