Bébé Voyage Mom Julia Wunderlich (parent to her 11-month-old daughter Eve) reviews Serenity Kids Baby Food Pouches for the community.
What to Know Before You Try:
There is a never-ending checklist when you are a parent of must-bring items when you are traveling with children. But the key to my peaceful travels is food. While traveling may be difficult, it doesn’t mean that all the healthy foods your child has in their diet have to be left behind.
I was recently given the opportunity to sample the Serenity Kids baby food line. This product is Bébé Voyage friendly for a number of reasons. Serenity Kids packages it in aesthetically pleasing 3.5oz BPA free pouches. This means that TSA agents won’t be able to question it as it is under the limit. The advantage of a pouch vs a glass jar is pretty obvious. Parents won’t end up with broken glass and carrot purée all over the bottom of their diaper bags and the emergency change of clothes.
This is an organic line with grass-fed meat, free range chicken, wild caught salmon, and uncured bacon combination flavors. These are not the kind of pouches I would use to introduce new foods as they are all blends. But once your little one is ready and you are ready to pay the $4 per pouch, I would definitely recommend them.
Ease of Transport and Use:
You can definitely throw them in a beach bag! Parents do not have to refrigerate them before first use. If you only use half, twist the top back on and you can keep it in the fridge for 24 hours. The product is made to be eaten at room temperature, so there is no need to warm it up. It’s perfect for on-the-go consumption.
Baby’s Thoughts:
Eve (11 months old) is a big fan. I started the first pouch with a spoon, but couldn’t feed her fast enough. She devoured it straight from the pouch in under a minute!
