This week, Bébé Voyage is exploring Atlanta with our Ambassador Caroline Earle to discover the city’s must-dos from a local.
Best Breakfast Spot In Atlanta
The best breakfast spot depends on what kind of breakfast you’re looking for. We have two favorite spots depending on our mood! When we’re craving diner food (think pancakes and waffles and short-order cooks), we love to go to the White House in the Buckhead area.
For a more sit down and eat-in-a-nicer place type meal, we always enjoy Buttermilk Kitchen. Their biscuits are so good that, as my daddy used to say, they’ll make you slap your grandma.
Morning Walk
Mornings out lately in COVID times have consisted of us taking full advantage of our membership to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Our oldest (she’s 2.5) is obsessed with Moana, and among the many many beautiful cultivations is a living sculpture that looks just like Te Fiti from Moana.
Lunch At A Taqueria:
We love grabbing lunch (to go lately) at Taqueria del Sol. Their tacos are a big hit with everyone in our family, and the restaurant is extremely family-friendly.
An Afternoon To Remember
For an afternoon to remember we enjoy going to the Zoo and seeing the new Safari area that’s just been renovated. We slowly wind our way around the zoo enjoying all it has to offer.
Afterward, we take advantage of being in the area and head to Eventide Brewing Company. It’s a local Atlanta brewery that’s extremely family-friendly. Across from the brewery are the stables where the Atlanta Police Department keeps their horses, and it’s a favorite for both my children.
Winding Down
Walking the beltline to Ponce City Market and grabbing dinner and drinks at one of the many restaurants it has to offer is a favorite activity to wind down.
Off The Beaten Path
PDK airport has a wonderful park. Your kids can swing and play while watching all the planes land and take off. It’s a wonderful park that not many folks take advantage of!
