Today is World Nutella Day, so to change things up a bit we are bringing you a couple of interesting ways to use this delectable hazelnut spread. One cold treat for those who are trying to beat the heat in the southern hemisphere of the world and one warm one for those being blasted by the polar vortex in the northern hemisphere. However you choose to enjoy Nutella just remember everything tastes better when you share it with friends.

- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3-4 large ripe bananas mashed (400 grams)
- 3-4 tablespoons Nutella
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit)
- Prepare a baking tray by greasing the inside and then dusting with flour
- In a large mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and mix well
- In a separate bowl add unsalted butter and brown sugar and mix until smooth
- Add the eggs to the butter mixture and mix well
- Add the vanilla extract, mashed bananas, and yogurt and whisk briskly for 1-2 minutes or until there are no lumps.
- Add half of the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix well, add the remaining flour mixture and mix well.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of Nutella to the mixture and stir 2-3 times so the Nutella swirls. Try not to mix it too much after adding Nutella in order to keep the swirl pattern.
